The University of Iceland (UI) is the leading institution of research and higher education in Iceland; it is a progressive educational and scientific institution, renowned for research in the global scientific community. The University of Iceland is a state university, situated in the heart of Reykjavík, the capital of Iceland. The UI offers opportunities for study and research in 400 programs, spanning most fields of science and scholarship. The School of Education at the UI, educates teachers for preschools, primary schools, and upper secondary schools, sports and health sciences, social educators, and leisure professionals. Stimmuli was born by three women working in the business and consulting sector for years while never lost their urge for projects with social impact. Along their carrer paths they met inspiring leaders, visionary entrepreneurs, scientists and people who overcame obstacles to create opportunities and drive positive change. This led them rethink how life and work should look like in a world with never-ending opportunities for all. In 2017, they established “Stimmuli for Social Change” as a mission-driven team of professionals who works towards stimulating change in education. CSI is working closely to address market, social, economic and cultural challenges with governments, local administrative agencies, non for profit agencies, commercial entities, and educational institutions. We identify and address systemic challenges through evidence based
research, state of the art investigation of global, national, regional and local solutions, developing solutions by taking into consideration the local ecosystem, cultural dynamics, meet the stakeholders needs and implementing those solutions as we keep constant vigilance to ensure continual feedback loop and adjustments. The feedback mechanisms and processes we employ allow us certainty in keeping in touch with our stakeholders and continually update our social solutions proposition. CSI team is composed of more than 30 open-minded, fully equipped researchers, educators, VET Trainers, social entrepreneurs, project managers, trainers and Information Technology Developers. CSI encompasses the capability and capacity to identify social needs, design and implement adjusted initiatives and project and provide for sustainable growth, based on its extensive expertise in successfully completing more than 100 funded projects. Centrul Judetean de Excelenta is a school for gifted students located in Galati, Romania. Our institution proposes an attractive educational offer which combines students and parents’ options with community’s professional needs.
